As part of our continued commitment to protect our oceans, La Mer is partnering with SeaForester, a Portugal-based environmental impact company dedicated to replanting the ocean and restoring seaweed ecosystems using innovative seaforestation techniques.
Each order will contribute to supporting our iniative to deploy 50,000 seeded stones in Europe with Seaforester!
SeaForester main approach involves the seeding of small stones with seaweed spores, growing them on land in specialized nurseries and deploying them in the sea. Aiming to bring life as these seaplants can reverse acidification in our oceans, build up depleted fish stocks and capture carbon at least five times more efficiently than tropical forests. Globally, kelp forests store 20 million tons of carbon every year, equaling emissions of 17.5 million cars.

To help protect our oceans, we launched La Mer Blue Heart Oceans Fund, a resource to support organizations that share our commitment to protecting the ocean. So far, the fund has assisted in planting 400,000 mangroves in the Caribbean, supporting coastal restoration projects across 5 countries, and building a global youth movement to protect 30% of our ocean by 2030
